CIPD Level 7 HR qualification

With a CIPD qualification, you’ll have the ability to demonstrate your skills in Human Resources to employers, which can help you stand out among other applicants.

A CIPD qualification can also help you earn more money. When you are CIPD Level 3, Level 5 or Level 7 qualified, you can earn more than someone without that qualification.

A CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management is very similar to a post-graduate diploma.

This is a course for experienced HR professionals, so you will need previous formal qualifications to get started. 

  • An existing CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential; alternatively, significant management-level experience in the people profession can be considered
  • You must be over the age of 21
  • You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language)
  • You must be comfortable studying at a post-graduate level
  • You must complete an Assessment Question that the Programme Lead will review
  • You must be a registered member of the CIPD

Yes, you can. Although Level 5 is a great foundation for this course, and recommended, significant management-level experience in HR can also be considered.

Yes, you can complete the Level 7 as part of the apprenticeship, however, it’s not a mandatory element of the apprenticeship.

The CIPD don’t offer the qualification at certificate level. The main difference between the two when undertaking a qualification is the number of modules you are undertaking.

The highest qualification for the CIPD is the Advanced level 7. At university, it would be an MA or MBA.
